Sonskyn dis so lekker om jou te sien. Enigeen wat deur die winter is weet waarvan ek praat. Somer is om die draai, en ek kan nie meer wag nie. Ja, daar is iets wonderlik aan die reuke en geure van somer, alles lyk en voel net helder, dis ook hoekom ons besluit het om ons eie tema vir somer te gebruik. Die kleur geel laat jou sommer klaar net dink aan son en mooi weer en dis ook hoekom ons dit gekies het. As jy so lief is vir die somer en die helder kleure dan gaan julle hou van ons tema want vandag doen ons alles geel en ons begin sommer met die helder suurlemoen - When life hands you lemons – you make lemonade…

I was inspired to use Fynbos because of its origin in the Garden Route. Fynbos is versatile, colorful, striking, interesting and unusual. Many textures, colours and forms are available and to combine well. By using varieties of Erica, Protea, Luecadendron, Luecospermum and Brunia one can appreciate the true essence of this form of floral display.

The combination of spring flowers such as Cymbidium orchids, Daffodils, Tulips and Irises with herbs such as Geranium, Mint and Chamomile along with the Fynbos make for a fun and inspiring display.

Glass vases in different sizes and shapes creates an interesting and eye catching table, giving the viewer a 360° view of all the different aspects of the floral design.

The “lemon” theme called for a new way of thinking, designing and experimenting with the colour of yellow flowers, shades, sizes and textures, fruit and foliage, which creates a fresh theme.

Therefore, if life gives you lemons, make lemon meringues!!
